The Spore Liberation Movement is a radical approach to mycology and hallucinogenic fungi. The war on drugs has declared psychedelic mushrooms dangerous and useless in medicine even though they’ve been proven to be the opposite. The Spore Liberation Movement, or SLM, is dedicated to showing the beauty and breaking the stigma of psychedelic mushrooms. Although our focus is on psychedelic (psilocybin/psilocin) mushrooms, we share a deep love and respect for all Fungi. Perhaps this philosophy could become to be known as Deep Mycology. To some, this may be a practical way of spreading their love of mushrooms. To others, it may become a deep, spiritual movement. No matter what the ultimate purpose of each individual, we stand united in a love and fascination of all things fungal. We are autonomous, non-hierarchical, and leaderless. Those who follow the guidelines can act on behalf of the SLM. It’s time to liberate the spores!
