Starting a Cell

Once you have read and agreed with the guidelines, you’re ready to take action. As mentioned in other places, the method(s) of action is ultimately up to you. Some may want to maintain anonymity and act anonymously, while others may find other like-minded individuals. If you feel that you could effectively and safely work with others in helping expand our cause, feel free to do so! Just remember to keep security in mind. You may end up working with an informant or just a show off. This could compromise your safety and freedom. Or you might find some new trip-buddies. The choice is yours, once again. Just keep security in mind at all times. If interested in starting a cell, considering the following:

Goals – Are you just trying to meet up with some cool, like-minded psychonauts or are you trying to address a more specific issue? Do you want to confront the war on drugs or do you simply want to spread the spores? Talk these things out and try to formulate a plan.

Contact – If you wish to have your work put on our web page or other social media, it’d help to have a way to contact us. An email is a simple, effective way to maintain contact.

Security – The most important thing is your and your friends’ freedom. It is not hard to get caught up in fighting for what you believe in. Although most of what we do is perfectly legal, ‘the man’ would not lose any sleep over imprisoning us over ludicrous charges, or even lying to get us caught up. There have been numerous movements that have been stunted because of informants, provocateurs, fraudulent charges, planted evidence, etc. Keep in mind they are many and we are few. Learn more about internet security as well as physical security. Be smart and think ahead. Have back up plans and MOST IMPORTANTLY, never talk to cops. It is their job to get you to confess. Anything you say can and WILL be held against you. If you are arrested or questioned, keep your mouth shut, and get a lawyer. Never TALK! Somehow get in touch with the main contact and reach out to us for support!

Money – Having some money to support your campaign can be important. If you want to distribute art, literature, clothing, etc., it will usually cost something. Think of ways to gather and manage money… of course, do it smartly!

Meetings – Having designated times and places to meet is a good way to ensure some organization. Maybe have a once a month meeting to discuss money, goals, and more. Make fun of it. Go on a hike and then discuss activity. Maybe enjoy a good trip in good hands. Meetings are not necessary, but are a good way to keep on your toes and keep the bond strong. Formality is an option, not a necessity.

That’s the jist of it. It is what YOU and your FRIENDS make it. Do you want to be more underground or aboveground? Do you want to just have fun or make a point? You can be laid back and have fun with it, or you can take a more militant, action-based stance. Just remember to keep the guidelines and SECURITY in mind.
